This badly documented piece was my first attempt at embroidered image-making (by the girl who can barely sew without hurting herself), and it was Wendy's birthday present. I was trying to keep it simple without making it seem simplistic, which is a feat mastered by the lovely and talented Kristen Uroda, who inspires me on a regular basis. Hopefully, one of these days I'll stop poking myself with the needle long enough to make something a little neater and more intentional.
